Sri Lanka workshop in Tacnarija

On Monday, February 23, 2026, a travelogue-creative workshop on Sri Lanka was held, which brought the participants closer to the rich culture, natural beauty and artistic tradition of this island pearl of the Indian Ocean.

The first part of the workshop was a travel lecture about the characteristics, sights and interesting things of Sri Lanka, presented by Eva Leskovec and Anđela Marić. Through photos and personal experiences, the participants had the opportunity to get to know exotic landscapes, tea plantations, golden sandy beaches, rich Buddhist heritage, and colorful cities and national parks. The natural diversity of the island, encounters with the local population, and the specifics of Sri Lankan cuisine, spices and traditions are particularly highlighted.

The second part of the workshop was dedicated to creative expression through the painting of trays using the decoupage technique. The participants chose motifs inspired by the Sri Lankan environment – floral patterns of tropical plants, marine motifs from coastal landscapes and animal motifs inspired by exotic wildlife. With expert guidance and a pleasant atmosphere, unique and imaginative works were created that reflected a personal experience of this faraway destination.

Since the workshop was held in the month of lovers, several couples successfully participated and showed their artistic abilities, but also their team spirit. The creative process additionally enriched the socializing, exchange of impressions and inspiration for some future trips.

The workshop took place in a warm and stimulating atmosphere and once again showed how traveling can be experienced not only through stories and photographs, but also through one’s own creativity.

See you at the next workshop! 🙂
