CREATIVE GARDENING AND GREEN SKILLS IN EDUCATION – 5-DAY COURSE

Green skills are important segment in every type of education: learning how to stay more sustainable and upscale practical green skills in educational environment. Starting from very simple gardening in flower pots to more complex flower beds. The course is interdisciplinary and connects art and science in a unique way. Learn about modern green skills implementation through 3 educational models.

Learning outcomes

Methodology and assessment

The course will take place in the green part of Zagreb, in Jabukovac, and most of the lessons will be held outside in the garden, depending on the weather conditions. The classes are divided into 3 models of creative gardening, starting from the easiest to the most complex. The course includes both theoretical and practical parts on green skills and creative gardening. Since the course is based on practical skills and workshops, participants will need to complete all three workshops (3 models of creative gardening) in order to receive a final certificate. Attendance at least 80% of the course is also mandatory.

Materials, digital tools and resources

All materials will be provided during the course: gardening tools, writing pads, and refreshments. We will use digital tools in some parts, so the use of a mobile phone will be required.

AI (ART INFUSION) IN LANGUAGE CLASSROOM – 5-DAY COURSE

The course offers a unique approach to language learning in different classroom settings, from young to adult learners. It comprises both art and digital tools to enhance the language classrooms and it is based on rich previous teaching, research and project experience.

Since the course is based on practical skills and workshops, participants will need to complete all three workshops (3 models of art in the classroom) to receive a final certificate. Attendance at least 80% of the course is also mandatory.

All materials will be provided during the course: art supplies for the workshops, writing pads, and refreshments. We will use digital tools in some parts, so mobile phones will suffice, but participants can also bring their own laptop.

TINKERSPACE – INNOVATION IN EDUCATION – 6-DAY COURSE

The course introduces participants to the notion of tinkerspace in education and offers an innovative way of teaching through STEAM. It includes multidimensional approach to teaching almost every subject (maths, science, art, technology). Moreover, green topics are intertwined with the course content. The course is primarily designed for primary education teachers, but also for STEAM educators.

GREEN SKILLS AND LAND ART – 5-DAY COURSE

This program offers a comprehensive introduction to land art, or landscape art, combining creative hands-on workshops and the application of green skills. Participants will learn sustainable design methods, use natural materials in the creation of art installations, and collaborate on land art projects that promote environmental awareness.

Nastava će se odvijati u zelenom dijelu Zagreba ili ako odaberete morsku verziju tečaja – u prekrasnom dalmatinskom gradu Zadru. Većina će se nastave održavati vani u prirodi, ovisno o vremenskim uvjetima. Tečaj uključuje teorijski i praktični dio o land artu. Za stjecanje certifikata obavezno je prisustvovanje na najmanje 80% tečaja, kao i izrada praktičnih zadataka.
